You will be joining the "Automated Accounting Academy" which tackles the pain of manual bookkeeping by offering a fully-automized solution to make Accounting beautifully simple.

Your playing field at Gini
  • Your mission is to lead, mentor, and ensure quality in the backend team
  • You will be responsible for evolving our existing architecture depending on company needs and develop, maintain, and operate new and existing services
  • You will conduct code reviews and put your expertise to practice in our teams
  • You will have a holistic overview of the product and ensure new technologies are evaluated and tracked
  • You will actively support the growth of the backend team, from developing the current team members to supporting the hiring team in finding new backend talent
  • You will be the go-to-person for all backend topics and partner closely with other teams, such as Platform Engineering
Your profile
  • You have 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and operating Backend systems.
  • You have good knowledge of Java 8+ and the JVM. Python, Go, and Scala proficiency is a plus
  • You have a strong understanding of relational databases and architecture design
  • You have experience in running code in production. You build it, you run it
  • You have already successfully proved that you are the perfect person to guide, mentor, and develop a team
  • You easily connect with different personalities in English, maybe even in German as well (though everyone is welcome to join our free in-house German classes)
