What you’ll bring along:

  • 3+ years of team management
  • 4+ years of experience as a Senior Java Developer (desirably Java 8/9)
  • Experience with Java (desirably Java 8/9)
  • Experience In JavaScript (ReactJS or similar) is a plus
  • Very good knowledge of standard frameworks and libraries (Spring, Hibernate)
  • Focus on code quality through clean code and code reviews
  • Experience in test automation and familiar with TDD
  • Knowledge of frontend technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3)
  • Experience with AWS, Docker and IaC
  • Work experience in Continuous Integration/Deployment is a plus
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Proactive, goal-oriented, energetic with an independent way of working
  • Fluency in English
  • Willingness to relocate to Berlin (if applicable)

Your playing field at Gini

  • Your mission is to help Gini deliver top-notch products and services by constantly improving our technology
  • You will develop and put into effect the best possible new methods for document image preprocessing for OCR
  • You will fine-tune our OCR engine, and help your team optimise extraction quality and preprocessing speed
  • You will assist the research team by creating integratable, production-ready components out of research prototypes
  • You will discuss all technical aspects of our products with your cross-functional team

Your profile

  • You have 3+ years of industrial experience working with C++
  • You are experienced in the field of image-processing, and used to working with OCR engines and automated testing tools
  • You are familiar with Linux, compiling (e.g. CMake, Make), and ideally also software packaging
  • You have a track record of working in cross-functional teams using agile software development methods
  • You are super pro-active – the possibility of taking ownership and bringing in own ideas excites you
  • You are curious to learn new technologies, and eager to constantly develop your skills- always striving for the best possible quality
