About the job

As a Director of Software Engineering you will:

  • Ensure that inne’s software interface gives our customers the greatest insight into their female health
  • Be responsible for our software engineering teams – including mobile Apps, Backend, DevOps, and AI
  • Overlook the software architecture, code quality, quality management and deployment processes of all software-related areas
  • Lead and grow our software teams
  • Ramp up internal teams to insource agency-led development areas

Essential to have

  • Strong backend engineer with experience at scale and the ability to work credibly in frontend, devops and machine learning
  • 7 or more years in managing software teams in an agile environment
  • end to end product lifecycle experience
  • University degree in computer science or similar
  • Problem-solving mindset

What you will be doing

  • Own the design process end to end, from user research, through launch to life and beyond
  • Understand and translate user needs, business requirements, and technical capabilities into innovative product solutions
  • Define entire user experiences, and interaction concepts: wireframes, user flows, site maps and high-fidelity prototypes
  • Create intuitive, elegant, user-centric designs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members throughout the design phase to address iterative feedback and to ensure optimal design execution

Requirements

  • You have at least 3 years of working experience in solving product problems and designing applications, including user research, wire-framing, prototyping, and visual design

  • Ability to learn and understand new technical domains quickly
  • Excellent English in written and oral form

What you will be doing

Our modern tech stack includes Python, Django, PostgreSQL, React & AWS with the front-end in JavaScript, Bootstrap, HTML5, & CSS/LESS. We use GitHub, Jira and Slack for release management, issue management and collaboration. You will be part of our small software development team. You will collaborate with product management and senior management in order to successfully clarify specification and prioritize features.

We are looking for a python backend developer to help us with:

  • moving the back-end from monolithic to a service based architecture
  • delivering new features
