We’re looking for a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer (m/f/x) to join us as soon as possible. The position is based in our office in Berlin’s trendy Bergmannkiez in Kreuzberg. Please note that this is a full-time position.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Owning our QA efforts: developing metrics to track quality and making sure we improve on these metrics
  • Working with PMs and team leads to define development processes that ensure quality
  • Writing and improving automated tests
  • Wherever needed, testing the product manually

What you’ll bring along:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant industry experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a developer or QA Engineer
  • Experience writing test plans and test automation
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience working with Selenium
  • Experience working closely with development and business teams
  • Creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness
  • Fluency in English
  • Willingness to relocate to Berlin (if applicable)

Your position

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer- Linux Networking with an interest in telecommunication and a passion for software development. As a Linux Networking Engineer, you will build components which create the connectivity layer for the future IoT devices.

Key activities

  • Work within an experienced team to create new products and features from scratch
  • Development of our packet gateway component based on SDN approach
  • Architecture and design of a high performing data plane using Linux users’ space networking implementations like DPDK, EBPF or whatever you and your team will decide on
  • Scale out and run our software on Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure
  • Act as a role model for younger developers and mentor them to progress in their careers

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in C, C++, Java or any other high-level programming language
  • High interest in telecommunication, Internet of Things, network protocols and SDN
  • You know what DPDK is and how it is working, ideally you have already finished a project on it
  • A proven track record of working in a project developing high performing network components
  • Strong experience with unit testing and CI
  • Good oral and written language skills in English

Bonus Points

  • Experience in using Infrastructure-as-a-Service offerings, e.g., AWS or OpenStack
  • High contribution to open source projects
  • Good presentation skills and ability to share the knowledge

  • Your mission is to lead, mentor, and ensure quality in the backend team
  • You will be responsible for evolving our existing architecture depending on company needs and develop, maintain, and operate new and existing services
